David started his insurance career in 1983 and since 1990 has been the company underwriter for Atlas Insurance PCC Ltd and its preceding agencies, responsible for the company’s overall underwriting function and product development. Since Atlas Insurance Agency Ltd converted to an Insurance Company in 2004, David has additionally been responsible for reinsurance procurement and the management of the company’s reinsurance function. As part of Atlas’s International Business Team he provides his technical expertise in the assessment and management of protected cells. He is also an executive director of Ark Insurance Management (Malta) Limited. He is a Chartered Insurer and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (London).
